The Brodhead Police Department operates 24/7 with a fully enhanced 911 dispatch center
that serves the '897' exchange west of the Green county line. We provide many services to the city outside of
our normal responsibilites, including vehicle unlocks, vehicle registrations, maintaining the BEEMS (Brodhead
Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) program, a CSO (Community Service Officer) program, among many

Snow Parking

Sec. 10-1-27 Winter
Parking.
(a) No person shall park, or leave standing any vehicle in the
designated business district in the City of Brodhead during the period from December I to and including
March 15 of each year between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The business district of the City of
Brodhead is defined as follows: Both sides of Exchange Street from its intersection with West Third
Avenue to its intersection with East Second Avenue; both sides of Center Avenue from its intersection
with Tenth Street to its intersection with Twelfth Street; both sides of West Second Avenue from its
intersection with Tenth Street to its intersection with Twelfth Street; both sides of East Second Avenue
from its intersection with Tenth Street to its intersection with Twelfth
Street.
(b) The designated parking spaces for use by Brodhead Police Department
authorized police vehicle parking only are exempt from (a). Authorized police vehicles may park in said
designated spaces at all times.
(c) No person shall park or leave standing any vehicle on any street or
public alley in the City of Brodhead outside the business district as defined in Subsection (a) above,
during the period from December I to and including March 15 of each year in an area which has been marked
with signs or barriers by the Police Department or Street Department indicating no parking due to
snowplowing or removal. Such areas are declared an emergency area
during and following a snow storm until the snow from
the storm has been removed from the streets or until such snow has been plowed to the
curb.
(d) No person shall park or leave standing any vehicle on any street or
public alley in the City of Brodhead outside the Business District as defined in Subsection (a) above
during the period fi7om December I to, and including, March 15 of each year commencing with a period of
time that begins after a snowfall results in a snow accumulation of two (2) inches in depth and which
ends after such snow has been plowed to the curb line.
(e) Nothing herein contained shall be construed to permit any vehicle to be
parked on any street or any parking area where parking is prohibited by the terms of any other Section of the
Brodhead Code of Ordinances.
